			  Memories

Empty now the house I called home Neglected
the garden I loved to roam. No happy smiles to welcome me here, No little
black spaniel I loved so dear.
Pink tinged apple blossom ladens the
bough Its delicate beauty is lost on me now. In eglantine the robin
still has his nest, No stalking cat now to disturb his rest. The swing is
still there on the walnut tree Where happy hours spent, heart soaring
free. The memories come flooding into my head, But today - my heart feels
				like lead.
