Sponsored Half-Marathon for Alzheimers

On the 3rd September myself and my dad took part in a half marathon walking trek (13.1 Miles) across Salisbury Plain on behalf of the Alzheimer's Society in memory of my dear grandad Harold.

The walk was quite tough in places, over some very uneven ground under foot and also with several hills, some very steep.

We had a very short stop for lunch which was just a sandwich, drink and fresh fruit.

We started at 9.00am and including lunch the whole walk took us four and a half hours to complete. The photograph shows us as we crossed the finishing line.

We are pleased to say that with our sponsors we raised £900.00.
