During April the Waterlooville Food Bank encountered a crisis with lack of stock; our Food Bank representative Patricia Byrne launched an emergency appeal, circulating photos of the dire situation and empty shelves.
This led to trolley loads of food coming in from Sainsbury’s, and extensive coverage on ITV resulting in many donations, including one for £1,000. Thanks to all the publicity, shelves that had been empty were full.
But, such is demand for help from families in dire need, that new stock is constantly needed, so please continue to support the Food Bank with regular donations.
